About Me
My name is Zoe and I have run Harmony Dogs Devon since 2022. I have been lucky enough to have dogs in my life since childhood, from my parents' German Shepherd to my very first dog, a Golden Retriever x Border Collie, Tarni. She taught me so much and it was with her that my love of dog training was born.
For over 15 years I have trained and competed in agility with my own dogs. When Jip and Rosie retired from agility, I wanted a way to keep their brains active and so I started training Hoopers.
I knew I wanted to be a trainer but was aware that all my dogs were Collies and their crosses. So, to learn more about what makes other breeds tick, I started Harmony Dogs Devon in 2022 as a dog walker and pet-sitter. I only did 1-1 walks as I wanted to help dogs that weren't able to join group walks for a variety of reasons.

Our Core Values
High Quality Training
All my dog training classes are force-free using positive reinforcement techniques. I maintain high quality classes by keeping classes small - maximum of four dogs.
Inclusivity
In my classes at Winkleigh Wag & Walk I offer "I need space" sessions, suitable for dogs that don't cope well in a group class. I also offer classes on an ad-hoc basis to fit in with the owners lifestyle.
Putting Dog Welfare First
My primary aim in my classes is to ensure that the dogs are happy and comfortable, as this is when they learn best! This means I ensure venues are fit for purpose and classes will be rearranged if conditions are not safe for training e.g. hot weather.
Always Learning
I commit to always looking to improve and undertake regular CPD courses to ensure I stay up-to-date with new ways of training.
Friendly & Approachable
I want classes to be a safe space for both owners and dogs so that if anyone is struggling with anything, they feel comfortable asking for help.
